ShamPoochies, a beauty salon
for pets, has opened at 2106 Creighton Road and is ready to give your
pet some glamour.
Owner
Barbara Miller has wanted her own grooming shop for 20 years. So when
she lost her job at local veterinarian's office recently, she and her
husband decided now was the time.
ShamPoochies
also does manicures and pedicures, including nail trimming, filing,
and polishing.
"Some
pets get extensions called Soft Paws to prevent the pet from hurting
themselves or a person," Miller said. "We
also have a variety of shampoos to match all skin types."
Some
pets may not like the fact that they are turning gray and ShamPoochies
is prepared . "We can color treat
their coat with a safe and gentle dye, and can even accommodate
them with a variety of color choices -green Mowhawks, pink Poodles,
and traditional Mardi Gras colors," Miller said.
ShamPoochies is proud to welcome pet stylist Lisa Glass.
When I first met Lisa 7 years ago, she had a passion for pets that was immediately recognizable. However, she was undecided about which pet care avenue to pursue. I was blessed to watch as Lisa came to the realization that pet grooming is her home. As her artistic talents surfaced and her grooming skills matured, she maintained the passion and love for animals that I so admire in her. ShamPoochies is a family and Lisa is an important part of our family. Welcome Lisa!
